Working towards improving diet is what weight loss should be called. It implies there is a correction happening to the existing diet which is my recommended method. Before you can improve the diet however, you must know where you are starting from. Learning what you are eating and the calories it totals to is so important.

Having attempted to lose body fat many times since I was in my early 20s and never successful because I lacked a few fundamental details. Learning how to eat properly for the goals I was trying to achieve never happened in parallel with the right exercises. Now it is very common knowledge that abs are made in the kitchen. When I first heard this it made sense, but I still didn’t know what to do.

It took me another dozen or more years before I finally started to get on the right track but there were still a few pieces I had to put together before I had the entire picture of how to do it. With all my trial and error and years of wasted time so you can get the shortcut to a strategy that actually works.
The problem with diet and exercise is that it takes time to see the results. What you do today might not be visible for weeks. Being consistent is so important so that as you see results you can make small changes and then continue to monitor progress. This is not easy and most people don’t have the patience for it so they quit.
Before you go any further looking for the holy grail on improving diet, you need to ready my book. I come from an Italian background where eating was a sport. You weren’t considered worthy unless you ate seconds and in shape. Our shape was always round.
Try telling family you are going to start improving diet and get in shape. First comes the cuff to the back of the head for speaking such nonsense. The reality is, Italian food is really good, but also really difficult to use for a lean diet. It has to be good or there wouldn’t be all those cooking shows filmed in Cinque Terre and Toscana! Cooking without extra virgin olive oil is a sin!
