Weight loss friendly foods should definitely be included in your weight loss diet plan. When you first decide to start losing weight most people implement an exercise routine. The motivation causes you to go hard in the gym and then you get really hungry. Feeling like you earned those calories you decide to stop at a drive thru on your way to work. The workout probably burned off an extra 100 calories but the hunger will make you eat 800.
The next day you step on the scale and see your weight increased by a pound and decide that your new exercise routine isn’t working. Feeling depressed from the lack of results you hit the same drive thru on your way to work. This time its 800 calories without the 100 calories burned from the gym.
Proper Weight Loss Food Planning
Instead of getting all geared up and breaking speed records on the treadmill, take a step back and evaluate where you are starting from. Firstly, you likely aren’t using friendly foods for your current diet or you wouldn’t be looking for weight loss friendly foods now. Second, you need to know what results exercise can accomplish for your goals. Finally you need to know how to mesh them together.
It would be great to throw away all the food you currently have and hit the reset switch to replace them with weight loss friendly foods, but this is not an available option. The best approach here is to look at what you are currently doing. Take each meal and start tracking what you eat. Using a calorie tracker would be the ideal method. Then determine what you can do to tweak your current diet.
If you are dipping toast into bacon fat for breakfast, maybe stop doing that. If you are eating only fruit for breakfast, look at which fruits are you eating as they are not all equal. Look at each one and how many carbs it has versus calories. Maybe all you need to do is substitute the banana for berries. Small changes like this in your diet will leave you feeling much happier because you are tweaking to improve and not starting on foods you don’t even like.
How To Find Weight Loss Foods
Once you have gone through your existing diet and made some tweaks that you are happy you will be on your way to a healthier you. The next steps you need to get really serious about weighing your food and tracking calories. Tracking calories will tell you how many carbs, fats and protein in each. With that you can start to look at where the ratios are for those and where it can be improved. For example, if you are having a lot of fruit for breakfast, there are probably not many fats, but the protein might also be really low. So you might add a scoop of greek yogurt. If you don’t like greek yogurt, then this would be a prompt to start looking for something you enjoy and has the protein you need.
If you were eating 2 bananas for breakfast and a muffin and now you have substituted the muffin with berries and cut back to 1 banana that is great progress. However it is starting to make you feel a little hungry before lunch, but After adding greek yogurt to boost protein helped. If not, perhaps you need to look at a mid-morning snack. These are the types of changes that will have you feeling satisfied. What you are doing is changing your habits and routines which become your new lifestlye. This is how you develop a long term healthy weight loss plan.
